Pre School room
Our Pre School rooms are spread across two spacious floors and provides an ideal environment for children as they become more independent. At this age a child’s knowledge and sense of the world is built on by outdoor visits to parks, libraries, museums and meeting members of society. Artistic and cultural awareness is supported by providing opportunities to engage with arts and explore a wider range of media and materials.
In Pre School rooms emotional and social development is enhanced by children learning to give greater focused attention to practitioners, respond appropriately and develop an ability to follow instructions that may involve several actions.
At this stage children need confidence, skills and desire to think for themselves, to solve problems, to show a greater understanding of their feelings, those of others as well as to regulate their behaviour accordingly. Positive behaviour patterns encouraging children to wait for what they want and control their immediate impulses, are reenforced in these rooms. Practitioners prepare children to approach the world with curiosity and intrigue. To be confident in trying new activities, show resilience and perseverance in the face of challenge.
